Market days in Courseulles-sur-Mer
The open-air market takes place every Tuesday and Friday morning, on Rue de la Mer. In summer, a third market sets up by the harbour in the afternoon. Expect the best of Normandy: local cheeses (Camembert, Pont-l'Évêque), farmhouse cider, and fish landed fresh at the port.
Down at the harbour, fishermen's stalls sell the day's catch almost every day — including the famous Courseulles scallop (coquille Saint-Jacques), which carries an AOP label.
